About the place

 Chanelle's home and studio is located on one of these farms next to the Orange River, where grapes and cotton are being produced. The livelihood of farmers depends on this breathtaking strip of fertile soil.

 Sand storms, bird-life and dramatic changes in climate (up to 50 degrees Celsius in summer and minus 3 degrees Celsius in winter) gives this area an incredible, unspoilt and breathtakingly beautiful reputation. Sunsets paint the skies in an exquisite display!

 Due to the vast, open space of the desert, hundreds of thousands of African Antelope roam here.
